Online data storage solutions often provide tools to help users recover deleted files, and iCloud is no exception. However, the recovery process is quite confusing and less intuitive.
Famous companies in cloud storage like Dropbox often provide tools and solutions to help users recover files after being deleted for months. iCloud also has the same features, but if compared to the above companies, it is still very limited in many ways.
If you accidentally delete the file from its Drive and now need to restore it, there are two things to note:
First, you can only recover data within 30 days of being deleted. After that point, the data will be permanently removed.
Secondly, restoring standard data can only happen on the computer, via the iCloud.com website. Starting with iOS 11 and macOS Sierra versions, Apple has provided application programming functions (APIs) that allow developers to build “Recently deleted” features into applications that have iCloud Drive exploited to Help users recover deleted files. However, this also depends on whether developers have integrated this feature into their app.
- IDM does not catch the download link and the fix
- Instructions to fix? The errors of FaceID on iPhone and iPad Pro
- What is wi-fi 6 ? How is it diffrent from current wi-fi ?
With the above restrictions, users often can not use iCloud Drive as a reliable backup solution, because this service only stores the deleted data of the user in a relevant period. Short. Also, users cannot recover files removed directly from a mobile device but must use a computer. If an iPad or iPhone user tries to access the iCloud.com address, it will be redirected to the iCloud settings page of iOS, or automatically activate the “Find My iPhone” or “Find My Friends” app pre-installed on the device. Suffered.
Below we will guide you how to recover deleted iCloud Drive files via iCloud.com website on your computer.
