Redmi Note 7 Launches: 48MP Camera, Snapdragon 660, 18-month Warranty

Xiaomi has confirmed to bring Redmi into its brand operating independently of Mi. Today (January 10), Redmi officially unveiled their first product, Redmi Note 7, with a shocking price.

Redmi will follow the road of Xiaomi’s first day, selling phones with high performance but meager prices. Their first model Redmi Note 7 Pro proved this when equipped with many things that were beyond price.

It uses “water drop” screen with FHD + 2340×1080 resolution 19.5: 9 ratio, using Gorilla Glass 5 protection glass, LCD panel 6.3-inch in-cell touch, 450 nit brightness, and 1500 contrast: first. 2.5D curved beveled glass with a narrow 1.95mm frame.

The Snapdragon 660 processor platform “Full Blood Edition” on this product is clocked at 2.2GHz, higher than the standard version running at 1.95GHz. Xiaomi claims Redmi Note 7 has Kirin 710’s higher-end Antutu performance score using the Kirin 710. The charging port is USB-C that supports Quick Charge 4.0 charging, however, to reduce costs, the company only offers 10W charger (5V / 2A) in the box. 4000mAh capacity battery.

The top highlight of the product is the main camera with a 48MP sensor. Xiaomi says this is Samsung’s ISOCELL GM1 sensor, which has the ability to aggregate pixels to produce more low-light shots at 12MP resolution. However, the company admits that this sensor quality is not as good as expected, so Xiaomi revealed a more advanced version of Redmi Note 7 Pro using Sony’s IMX586 sensor. The second camera on the back is 5MP, used to measure the depth of field. 13MP selfie camera is supporting bokeh shooting.

Although the device has a little price, it still uses double-sided glass design, with a gradient transition effect being viral. The company also considered designing moisture and dust. Additional reinforcement in small slots and holes helps the machine to withstand the environment better.
